Matchbox is a recruiting consultancy founded by three seasoned marketers, who have had longstanding careers in building successful, thoughtful and creative marketing teams. Experts in their fields, our partners, Sarah, Hannah and Tricia, bring in a combined 35 years of experience, truly working from intern to CEO. Our partners have worked across a variety of sectors, from high fashion, to technology, to hospitality, and know what it takes to find success and build dynamic marketing teams.
Matchbox was designed to be the connection from talent to team and, ultimately, help strike the perfect match between the two. Our partners work with both the companies and candidates in a variety of services, whether it’s developing and consulting on team structures to providing insight on resume trends.

Sarah Archer
Partner & CEO
Sarah has worked in marketing her entire career, starting as an intern and working her way up to Vice President of a mid-sized agency before starting her own firm. In addition to founding Matchbox, she is currently the co-owner and CEO Firecracker Marketing, a social media marketing agency committed to operating without the traditional industry expectations that lead to burnout and consistent turnover, while assembling a team of “the best of the best” to bring their clients’ stories to life.
Sarah specializes in finance, operations, logistics and employee mentorship. She has almost 20 years of experience building, hiring and training marketing teams in the hospitality, travel, F&B, fashion and lifestyle industries, working both in-house and at agencies in multiple markets across the US. She’s managed marketing budgets within the tens of millions, and has hired, trained and managed over 100 marketing employees in all specializations throughout her career.
Sarah currently resides in Nashville, Tennessee, with frequent visits to her other “home bases” of Los Angeles, New Orleans, and Florence, Italy. In her spare time, she can be found exploring the world with her dogs Dodger & Scully, learning Italian, or cheering on the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Hannah Best
Partner & COO
Hannah Best knows that her last name seems like a pun, but we promise it’s not.
Born, raised, and still living in Northern California, Hannah has worked at marketing agencies since she was a 19-year-old intern. Starting her work in government and non-profit PR, working her way to technology marketing (a very much for-profit industry), and then landing in hospitality PR, digital marketing and event planning for the last ten years, she’s truly done it all.
On top of being the Partner and COO of Matchbox, she is currently the Co-Founder and President of Firecracker Marketing, where she combines her love of marketing, her competitive nature (it’s a tough business!) and her creativity into a managerial role. Hannah’s strength lies in her versatility and she firmly believes the best employees are the ones who have tried a little bit of everything (hence, why she is an agency girl for life). A lifelong athlete, she also looks to the experience outside of work to help within the hiring process, because not all transferable skills are made in a boardroom. Through the years she’s helped build and develop teams and individuals through honing in on unique strengths, fostering a learning environment and being an advocate of direct feedback.
If you’re not catching her immediately responding to your emails, she’s either coaching her local Varsity Water Polo team, hanging out with her dogs (and husband too?) or drinking a glass of California wine.
Tricia Higbee
Partner & CTO
Tricia has over a decade of experience managing and mentoring marketing teams, both in-house and in an agency setting. This experience has given her a vast understanding of both sides of the hiring process. As Chief of Talent at Matchbox, Tricia utilizes her core strength and passion — connecting people and rising all tides along the way. In addition to Matchbox, Tricia works as the Account Director at Firecracker Marketing, where she again toes the line between managing our always-evolving team of 14 incredible employees and ensuring clients feel heard and goals get met.
Tricia specializes in mentorship and fostering working relationships that lift everyone up through the process. From guiding her team through entry-level hires up to full-blown Digital Directors to working in events and partnerships, non-profits, music, radio, and more, she's managed teams as small as two people to restaurant operation groups of 50+. Bored by the basics, Tricia strives to work with clients who color outside of the lines and are genuinely passionate about their work while maintaining a healthy work-life balance because, as we all know, that produces the happiest, most longstanding employees.
When she's not being a booked & busy professional, Tricia loves to travel, spend quality time with friends & family, and is always on the hunt for the most hidden gems at her local thrift shops. You can usually find her getting in her daily steps around her Nashville neighborhood, listening to a pop-culture podcast, and trying to equally divide her love & attention between her two dogs and one cat (they're keeping tabs, I know it!).
